MONDAYS at 1 PM/ EST / Hey, this is a tough time and any way we can find to get together is worth pursuing. The MWC already has a devoted MahJongg following – but there’s no reason everyone can’t play. And, after a few experiments, we’ve figured out how to do it online using a combination of readily available MahJongg software and ZOOM. We’ve even figured out how to have a separate ZOOM session for each “table.”
Hey, we’ve got this – and it’s terrific!. A number of us have played MahJongg – online – and it has been a lot of fun. We’ve ironed out a few kinks and have a good idea as to how to do this. ANYONE CAN PLAY – beginners, intermediate and experienced players. If you’d like to join us …. this is what you should do:
1) REGISTER for either or both http://myjonggpremium.net or http:realmahjongg.com (see if there’s a free trial). Get yourself a username!
2) GET A CARD – See below.
3) RSVP to this email address (admin@manhattanwomensclub.com
4) SIGN INTO ZOOM – via a link you will get after you RSVP. SIgn in no later than 1:00pm (after which time tables will have already been assigned and no one will be “home” in the general ZOOM session).
5) “SIT DOWN” at a table – You will be assigned a table after you sign into Zoom – each table will have it’s own ZOOM capability so you can communicate with your table-mates via audio and/or video during your game.
6) PLAY!
7) VISIT! We’re getting together, also via the same ZOOM link, after the game to check in and say hi. You don’t have to do anything for this – we will just revert to the open ZOOM session.
NOTE: We are playing with the 2020 NMJL Card. If you do not have one an “emergency” copy can be emailed to you – but go online and get an “official” card (CLICK HERE to go to the National MahJongg League site).
