2019 MWC BRIDGE KICK-OFF !

MWC 2019 BRIDGE KICK-OFF:  This post is about the MWC’s effort to (yes, again!) get a regular Bridge group going.  Similar to what we are doing for MahJong, we (the incredibly generous and gracious Anne D!) will host two more open Bridge sessions at her home on the two remaining January Thursdays of 2019 from 2-5Those dates are :

Thursday, January 17th and

Thursday, January 24th

All levels are welcome – but at least some basic familiarity with bridge is needed!  The point here is to see how big (or not) the MWC Bridge universe is and try to get some play going!  Quite a few MWC’ers have been taking lessons and playing at HONORS BRIDGE – and we’re hoping that group participates in MWC Bridge. Feel free to attend one or all of the sessions.  On Thursday, January 24th there will be a discussion as to how to structure regular games going forward – if you’re unable to attend on that particular day, please send in an email (admin@manhattanwomensclub.com) with your comments. It will be important to figure out hosting, logistics and “rules.”

If you are absolutely brand new to bridge – but interested in playing – we recommend you take at least the beginner’s package of lessons at HONORS Bridge Club to get you started with some excellent instruction.  The MWC Bridge get-togethers will be what we call “serious social bridge” meaning:  a range of abilities, helpful kibbutzing, dedicated playing – and a lot of fun.  Depending on how large a group there is, it will be sorted by playing level.

Interested parties can go to one, all or some of these sessions.  If you’re unable to attend ANY of the sessions, but are interested in playing in the future, please contact:  admin@manhattanwomensclub.com so you can tell us about your playing level, scheduling issues and whatever else we need to know to count you in.

Members, please reserve your spot – for each session – on the MWC SignUp! Page so we know who and how many potential bridge players to count on.  No Show Insurance will be required.
